(7/17/2009) The FVTA annual membership meeting is planned to be held during the NAVC Conference in Orlando Florida. The NAVC conference will occur from January 16 - 20, 2010. Meeting details to follow.

The FVTA is investigating the opportunity to join the *Florida Veterinary Corp as a sponsoring organization of SART- the State Agricultural Response Team – Currently, SART has 10 CVTS and 17 non CVT members.
**SART is a multi-agency coordination group that supports our Emergency Support Function 17, at the State Emergency Operations Center. This can be done by going to www.flsart.org and clicking “New Member Sign Up.”

(8/11/07) For any FVTA Members going to the FVMA Annual Meeting and Conference this September (Sept. 7-9, 2007 in Lake Buena Vista, FL), the FVTA will be having a table at the conference to share information about our Association. We need volunteers to help staff the table throughout the conference. Please look over the following dates and respond to Ginny Price with your availability. Make sure to mention a time frame that you would be willing to cover.
Exhibit hours are:
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM

(6/25/07) ATTENTION recent Graduates and upcoming graduates who took the VTNE this June. Once your passing scores are received, you can upgrade your "Student Member" status to an FVTA Certified full membership for ONLY $50 that will extend your membership through 12/31/09. Be sure to contact the FVTA Certification Chairperson Mary Kazmierski to notify her of your intent to upgrade.

(5/15/2007) CONGRATULATIONS are in order for all of SPCs 2007 Vet Tech Graduates. Do you know of a student who is graduating? Make sure to tell them how proud you are of their accomplishments. Getting your Vet Tech degree and sitting for the VTNE is no easy feat. Best Wishes to everyone in your new careers! And don't forget....check back with us after you've taken the VTNE to register your scores for certification.
